Palawan: A world-class Paradise Island

In Asia, paradise islands exist, particularly in the Philippines. But among all the stunning islands in the archipelago nation,  Palawan, home to the UNESCO-protected Puerto Princesa subterranean river, is one of the most spectacular. El Nido, in the north of the island, has a variety of shops and conveniences, but true paradise awaits those who travel away from the main centers and find the unspoiled beaches of the east coast. Explore the network of azure lagoons and sheer limestone cliffs, or head south to see Puerto Princesa’s incredible vistas. Indeed, you will never run out of discoveries in this paradise, which is also known as the last frontier of the country.

It’s a fantasy vacation hotspot for most tourists, with towering limestone rocks emerging from unbelievably clear seas that touch the blue heavens. Because of its unique and pure nature, it is the ideal sanctuary for ecotourism aficionados and adventure in nature geeks. The oceans are so beautiful that you don’t even need to dive to appreciate the bottom of pristine waters, but if you do, your eyes will be treated to a kaleidoscope of colors. Moreover,  Palawan this wonderful island is home to the wandering gigantic lizards, the fireflies adorning mangrove trees, and many other exotic and endemic life forms in the biodiverse island.

Travel + Leisure magazine ranked the tropical island fifth best island in Asia. Palawan,  which receives a lot of worldwide attention, was ranked as one of the Top Islands in Asia’s World’s Best Awards poll, with a score of 88.63.

Other beautiful islands on the list are Andaman Islands India, Koh Samui in Thailand, Bali in Indonesia, and Maldives in the prestigious roster. The stunning not only made this regional list again at No. 5, though down from Top 1 last year, but also earned a spot in the World’s Best Islands list.

Palawan was praised for its mountains as well as white-sand beaches caressed by the Sula and South China seas. And since there’s an island destination for everyone, what constitutes “paradise” likely boils down to specific interests — history, culture, heart-pumping adventure, or something else entirely, “ the article read.

Meanwhile, Mílos, Greece grabbed first place this year captivating tourists with its color-changing landscapes and picturesque tavernas.
